Grounded in Faith.
Growing in Love.

Jesus Practiced Radical Hospitality and Compassion, and So Do We!

At First Presbyterian Chapel of Hope and Peace, we’re a growing community of believers who find joy in worshiping together. Our services blend a friendly, welcoming spirit with a casual yet traditional style of worship. Everyone is invited to join us as we grow in faith, hope, and love—our chapel is fully accessible for those with mobility challenges.

Service begins at 12 PM every Sunday
Communion is served the first Sunday of the month and all who seek Jesus are welcome at the Lord’s Table.

Who are we? Let’s start by saying who we are not! We are not judgmental. We don’t care what you wear or how much money you have. We do not have a theology that beats you over the head into submission or shames you when you sin. We do not shut you down if your theological history is different, or if you are searching for your own sense of faith. The Bible teaches us compassion and the love of God and we want to share that with you.

We have a children’s Sunday School room for those who wish to bring their little ones and Pastor Christine is always prepared for a brief message for our “little disciples”.

Pastor Christine Vanderkooi Burns is a commisioned ruling elder serving both the Scioto Valley Presbytery and the Galion First Presbyterian Church. She has a Masters degree from the MTSO in Delaware, OH in Parish and Community Ministry. She has a heart for the passion and intimacy that the smaller congregation brings to the communities they serve.
